Match Report - 01 Sep 2009, St Francis Rangers FC 1st Team lost to Three Bridges
Rangers began their home fixtures with a visit from three bridges. Bridges applied a bit of pressure but found lehkyj in fine form. Russ harris run down the left ended when he cut inside and hit a shot over the bar.
Rangers took the lead when referee Mark Tasker adjudged that harris had been fouled,
Geoff Pitcher made no mistake from the spot 1-0 32 minutes.
James Westlake hit the side netting after a flick on from Sam Palmer.Rangers were looking dangerous on the attack and Palmer went agonizingly close with a chip.
Rangers went 2-0 up in the 41st minute when Westlake set Djamluddin away and his fine cross was headed home by sam palmer at the far post.
Just before the halftime whistle Westlake hit a drive from 35 yards only to see the keeper fly across his goal to push it round the post . h t 2-0
The second half saw an increase in the wind with this an increase in bridges pressure .
This was rewarded in the 53rd minute whenDean Wright got on the end of a long ball and fired past lehkyj 1-2
The injured Djamaluddin was replaced by Mike Boutal before the restart.
Hillier equalised on the 62nd minute with a drive just inside the box 2-2
Dunk on the right was delivering some dangerous crosses and rangers continued to be on the back foot.
Rangers went on a few attacks but were undone in time added on when Hillier got on the end of a long ball and drove it past the despairing dive of lehkyj2-3
