Match Report - 21 Nov 2009, St Francis Rangers FC 1st Team lost to Wick
Wick were without 21-goal striker Scott Murfin, serving a one match ban for five bookings, and Rangers may have been expecting a slightly easier ride but they finally succumbed to a George Haskin hat-trick.
Two goals in the first 22 minutes effectively sealed the game and it was a baptism of fire for visiting left-back Brannon O'Neill, who had his hands full with repeated breaks from Phil Turner and Dan Swain.
The deadlock was broken on 19 minutes when a Swain/Turner move end with a teasing cross for Gaskin to catch with an outstretched boot from four yards.
A defensive blunder presented Gaskin with his second three minutes later as he coolly slotted the ball past the advancing Simon Lehkyj from the edge of the box.
Wick should have extended their lead twice through Josh Sutcliffe but he did have a hand in Gaskin's third, and 14th of the season, by nodding back a Daren Pearce corner that the home striker touched in from a yard out on 42 minutes.
